Our team has always opted for curated pitching, leveraging our media contacts and only using press releases for major announcements. However, throughout 2024, we’ve gained valuable insight into the crucial role that press releases amplified over a newswire are playing in making sure there is correct and accurate information being used by AI bots and Chat GPT. Subsequently, in addition to our strategic outreach, this year we are strongly recommending dispersing one to two factual, high-level releases over a paid newswire service (budget-friendly recommendation: EIN Newswire ~ $700 USD).
As discussed, with the relaunch of Villas en La Reserva as a now defined and more fine-tuned independent guest experience, including having its own Wildcard Bid landing page, we recommend taking advantage of this new online presence to do another huge push for Villas en La Reserva by distributing a release over the wire and targeting pitching the news to trades, MICE publications and points outlets. We can also use this release to promote the “resort within the resort” buyout option for groups and weddings!

In 2024, we saw the benefits of attending IMM and can’t wait to return in 2025! Last year we brought paradise to NYC with our PRadise Bliss Lagers. This year, let’s bring the spirit of parranda to New York for our meetings to share the latest and greatest offerings at the property — from Villas en La Reserva to the new onsite bikes, as well as anything upcoming!
Our press release proposed above will also double as a great resource for us to entice top media by posting it to our IMM profile ahead of the event.

TREND: EVENT TOURISM
The 2025 Puerto Rico Open
We saw the “Event Tourism” trend fully catch fire in 2024 thanks to Taylor Swift but on a less intense front, we are seeing sports and major tournaments/events having a similar influence on tourism. So why not leverage this trend to highlight the resort, especially considering that we are the hosts of the biggest golf tournament on the island — the PGA Puerto Rico Open!
Last year, we leveraged the tourney for a beautiful GOLF.com culinary feature, but this year, we want to expand coverage, targeting additional golf publications, news and lifestyle outlets. If possible, it would be great to even invite a top journalist or editor to cover the event if passes and accommodations could be provided!

IT’S BRO BONDING:
GOLF TEES & THERAPY
We are hearing the clear market demand from men craving a “different” kind of guys getaway. Knowing larger leisure group bookings are a goal in 2025, we want to position the property to be a great option for these bro packs seeking a haven to reset with the boys.
While “traditional male” bonding activities are something that these group’s are swaying away from, we think it could be cool to build a group package offering that can be booked by inquiry that meets somewhere in the middle between the “old” guys trip and this new version. Let’s keep golf in play, but maybe we invite the men to play barefoot to practice grounding into the earth as they play, creating a low-stress environment. Then we invite them to decompress at the Rainforest Spa, where maybe we offer a massage and facial option, designed for the man who needs pampering. Finally, if/when the cigar lounge is ready, we include a “Cigar Yappy Hour,” which can be a space for the boys to hangout and talk about important things happening in their lives while enjoying a good drink and a smoke.
